Job Overview:
Modern Psych and Wellness is seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing mental health clinic. As a PMHNP, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic interventions to patients with a range of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including prescribing and managing psychiatric medications.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Provide follow-up care and medication management to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication use.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with clinic policies and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed to practice in Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred.
- Expertise in psychiatric medication management and mental health care for patients with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
